Our Story
In 2010, George Oakley saw a need for visitors to experience Cedar Key in a fun, relaxed way. He started with a few golf carts and, thanks to his wife’s suggestion, began customizing them with unique paint jobs, tailored seat covers, and solar panels to extend battery life.
What began as a simple idea has grown into Gulf Kart Company. We’ve loved helping visitors discover the history and beauty of Cedar Key, one cart ride at a time.
